Troy’s commitment to excellence extends into international competition. He competed in his first World Championship Blacksmith Competition in Calgary, Canada in 1997, placing sixth in a class. He has since been a top ten finalist three times and qualified for the final five once. He is also a three-time class winner at the World Championship Blacksmith Competition.

For more than 20 years, Troy has operated a full-time farrier business in northeastern Indiana. His vision to establish a professional horseshoeing school became a reality in 2012, creating a structured farrier training program grounded in technical excellence, competition-level skill, and practical instruction.
Troy and his wife Jennifer reside in northeastern Indiana. Outside of the forge, Troy enjoys snowmobiling, camping, and dirt bike riding.
